Peak Color Is Coming! Celebrate the Season at Our October Learning Circles

Writer's picture: Kriss Marion Kriss Marion

One of the great delights of Autumn in Wisconsin is taking road trips to enjoy the leaves as they turn throughout the state. Have you been following the Travel Wisconsin Fall Color Map? Every year, the Travel Wisconsin team uses a combination of historical data and weather forecasts to predict when peak color is in each county. View the map here.

The Wisconsin Women in Conservation team is delighted to be offering Fall Learning Circles this month in beautiful venues that will not only inspire and empower you on your conservation journey, they'll show off the season's leaves at their finest. It's time for a Road Trip! These Learning Circles feature local conservation experts and provide plenty of question and answer time, as well as an opportunity to network with other local women farmers and landowners. Each event includes snacks, too! RSVP for FREE by clicking on the images below, or go to our Events page to see everything coming up in October. We hope to see you soon!

Join us at this lovingly restored landmark and participate, weather permitting, in a small prairie burn.

Schmeeckle Reserve is a 280-acre conservancy area on the campus of UW-Stevens Point with 5 miles of trails and boardwalks, a 24-acre lake, and a large diversity of habitats that support numerous wildlife species.

Enjoy almost 4,000 feet of Root River frontage, ponds and uplands hardwoods. Hiking trails thread through the varied terrain and most species of birds and animals native to southeast Wisconsin can be found on the property!
