Conservation Celebrations and Book Launches! Starting Tonight!

Updated: Oct 19, 2023

We've completed another season of WiWiC programming - 40+ events this year! - and that makes 3 years for us. We decided to celebrate by writing a BOOK! Our "Portraits of Love on the Land" is a loving tribute to 30 of the amazing women we've had the privilege of working with over the course of the project so far. We're calling it a "Look Book" because it's packed with colorful photos and lots of conservation inspiration. And you can get yours for FREE at one of our four Book Launch Parties happening tonight and next week across the state. See them all HERE.

If you're in the North West region of the state and you've been on the fence about attending tonight's celebration at Sawmill Pizza Farm in Clear Lake - these photos of what we're looking forward to just might help you make a decision! Apparently the leaves are quite far along in terms of color, and the weather will be lovely. Pizza and non-alcoholic drinks are on us, and you can purchase beer brewed right on site.

All of our Launch Parties are offering great free food in beautiful locations! At Michael Fields Agricultural Institute historic barn next Monday, we're serving vegan cakes from woman-owned bakery East Side Cakes and refreshing aquas frescas from Aguitas Eva, a Latino-owned small biz in Milwaukee.

On Tuesday we'll be at the beautiful Green Bay Botanical Garden, and though our event starts at 4:30pm, our guests can come early and tour the gardens for free - just let the front desk know you are with us. You won't want to miss the Rose Gardens in FULL BLOOM at the terrific food from The Farmacy. Cash bar! Of course, children are always welcome at WiWiC events, and there is a terrific children's garden to explore. Also a National Display Garden of the American Hosta Society!

And our finally Launch Party will be in the gorgeous wedding barn venue at Twin Bluff Farms in Stockholm on the Great River Road. Even the travel to get there will be beautiful! And the food is being provided by The Charcuterie Enthusiast with all local ingredients.

All of these events are FREE - we just love to have an RSVP for planning purposes. Hope to see you at one of these Conservation Celebrations soon!
